Nov 2015: Poster design for the Christopher Tower Poetry Competition. This is the third year that Catherine Charnock Creative has designed the Tower Poetry poster, you can see the 2015 poster here and the 2014 poster here.
This year the theme was “Wonder”. I provided three concepts, and then worked up the chosen concept into three more poster designs. The final design was selected and is being mailed to every school in the UK. Click on the image for a closer look.
June 2015: The University of Oxford’s Physics Department asked Catherine Charnock Creative to design and produce a leaflet to advertise their Industrial Projects Programme. The Programme links third year Physics students with high tech companies to promote skill sharing and networking and enable the students to gain useful real-world experience, while the companies gain links with bright students and potential high-quality recruits. The brief was for the leaflet to be accessible to all levels of company employee and to have a “high tech” feel, while showing Oxford students at work. Catherine Charnock Creative fused vector elements with equations and typography to create a simple but striking leaflet. It was printed by Seacourt to the highest environmental standards and quality.

June 2015: WildKnowledge asked Catherine Charnock Creative to design a leaflet using the assets they had commissioned for an animated film. The assets were created by Home®. Catherine Charnock Creative designed the leaflet and handled the print buying, ensuring the leaflet was produced in an environmentally friendly way, to the highest standards, with the lowest possible carbon footprint. The resulting leaflet is being sent to every state school in the UK.

June 2014 – Oxford University’s Department of Continuing Education asked me to design a flyer for their “Wisdom Weekend” – with a quick turnaround.
June 2014 – The Oxford Experience Leaflet: A3 folding to DL. I did the image research and print buying for this leaflet. Printed on 100% recycled paper by Park Lane Press.
An 8 page A5 Guide for the Social Mobility Foundation. I designed the first Guide and then versioned it for a different aspect of their Programme, producing two Guides. The style was in keeping with their Annual Review and Employers’ Guide.
June 2013: An A4 folded DL for the University of Oxford’s Public Relations Department. The leaflet folds twice to form a DL size (210 x 99mm)
October 2013: I designed the poster for the prestigious Tower Poetry Competition. The A3 and A4 posters are sent to all schools and colleges in the UK. The project started with concept designs for the theme of “News”, and I then artworked the chosen concept to produce the final product. I handled the print buying and the posters were printed on 100% recycled paper, using environmentally-friendly waterless offset printing. Click on the image for a closer look!
See here for the black and white quarter page advert adapted from this poster.
May 2013: A flyer for Social Mobility Foundation. This is a double sided A4 flyer which folds twice to form a “DL” (99 x 210mm).
Jan 2013: Leaflet and posters for Oxfordshire Science Festival. The layout was based on the previous year’s design by Andrew Harvey. You can see the previous year’s design here. The flyer folds multiple times from A2 size page to DL flyer (99 x 210mm). 2013 is the year of International Water Co-operation so the leaflet has a water theme. The brief for the signature image on the cover was that it needed to represent a variety of sciences, so I created a montage representing astronomy/physics, engineering and biological sciences, placed inside the raindrop. The reverse side of the leaflet is a poster advertising the opening event. An additional poster (the lizard image) was created and printed at A3 size. Click on the images to enlarge.
